Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 3 August 2026

The Short Version

Read freely, print our guides and diagrams for yourself or your friends and family, and share links anywhere without spamming. Just don’t republish our work, and remember that camping decisions, and their consequences, are yours.

This summary is here for convenience. Where it and the full terms differ, the full terms govern

Welcome

These terms cover your use of CamperishTrails.com. By using the site you agree to them, and by submitting a comment you confirm you’ve read and accepted them.

What CamperishTrails Is

We publish camping and RV guides, diagrams and images aimed at beginners. Information and opinion, offered free. Visit our About page to learn more.

What CamperishTrails is not

We are not a booking service, an outfitter, a gear retailer, a guiding service, or a professional advisory service of any kind. Nothing here is legal, medical, engineering, electrical or safety-professional advice.

What you may do

You’re welcome to:

  • read everything, as often as you like
  • share links to any page, anywhere, without spamming
  • quote brief excerpts, a sentence or two, with clear credit and a link
  • download and print our guides, checklists, diagrams and printables for your own personal, non-commercial use, including a handful of copies for friends and family

What you may not do

Please don’t:

  • use our content commercially without written permission
  • republish, sell or redistribute our articles, images, diagrams, checklists or printables, in whole or in substantial part
  • present our work as your own, or otherwise misrepresent where it came from
  • copy our diagrams or infographics into your own content
  • scrape or bulk-copy the site

Safety-critical content

Some of what we write about can hurt you if it goes wrong: tent and RV heaters and carbon monoxide, propane systems, campfires, sharp tools, RV electrical and shore-power connections, and drinking water treatment, to name a few.

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your own equipment, not our description of a similar one. Yours may differ in ways that matter. We write cautiously and we point readers toward professionals readily. That is an editorial stance, not a warranty. You won’t find medical or emergency instructions here, and that’s deliberate.

Rules and conditions change constantly

Fire bans, permit requirements, food-storage regulations, reservation windows, hookup availability, and length limits vary by district and change without notice. Anything we publish about a specific campground, agency or regulation is accurate as far as we know at the time of writing, and may be out of date by the time you read it.

Check with the land manager or the campground before you go. Their current rules govern, not our article.

The outdoors carries real risk

Camping, RVing, hiking, driving and towing, cooking with fire and fuel, and being in remote places all carry inherent risks, including serious injury, that no amount of reading removes.

If you go, you accept those risks and take responsibility for your own safety, your equipment, your vehicle, your companions, and your judgment about the conditions in front of you on the day.

Accuracy and corrections

We write to the best of our ability and we will get some things wrong. When that happens, we fix the article. Write to us if you spot an error. Corrections on safety topics get priority, and we’ll take them from anyone.

We don’t promise the site is complete, current or error-free, and we may change, update or remove content at any time.

Comments

Comments are welcome, with a few conditions.

  • You’re responsible for what you post. Nothing unlawful, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or infringing on anyone else’s rights. Don’t post other people’s private information. No spam, no link-dropping, no commercial promotion.
  • You must be an adult to post a comment. Anyone is welcome to read the site.
  • We moderate. We may edit, refuse or remove any comment, with or without a reason. We’re not obliged to publish anything, and leaving a comment up isn’t an endorsement of it.
  • Comments aren’t advice. Other readers’ comments are their own opinions. We don’t verify them and we aren’t responsible for them.

Responsibility for what you post

If something you post causes a legal claim against us — defamation, copyright infringement, or someone’s private information appearing where it shouldn’t — you’re responsible for it, and you agree to cover our reasonable and directly related costs, including legal fees, in dealing with it. If such a claim arrives, we’ll tell you promptly and give you a fair opportunity to be involved in how it’s handled.

This applies only to claims caused by your own content or your own breach of these terms. It doesn’t cover anything arising from our own conduct.

Removing comments and blocking people

As well as removing individual comments, we may block a person or an IP address from the site. We’d rather not, and we don’t do it for disagreeing with us. Disagreement is half the point of a comments section. Repeated spam, harassment or copyright infringement will do it.

Outbound links

We link to other sites: booking platforms, land-agency pages, manufacturers, and occasionally product pages. Those sites have their own rules and their own privacy practices, and CamperishTrails is not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability. A link is not an endorsement, and we currently earn nothing from any link on this site.

Copyright and takedown requests

Articles, diagrams, images and printables on this site are our own work, except for reader comments and any material we’ve credited to a third party.

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, email info@camperishtrails.com with:

  • your contact details
  • identification of the work you say is infringed
  • the URL of the material on our site
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf

We’ll review the notice and remove or disable access to material where the complaint is substantiated. We terminate access for repeat infringers.

Availability

The site may be unavailable, interrupted or changed at any time. We don’t promise uptime.

Accessibility

We want this site to work for everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation or magnification. If something here doesn’t work with your setup, email us and we’ll do our best to fix it.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site and everything on it is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

We are not liable for any loss, injury or damage, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise, arising from your use of this site, your reliance on anything published here, or any activity you undertake after reading it. We work hard to be accurate and useful, but we can’t and don’t guarantee outcomes.

Read what’s here, then use your own judgment. Your campsite, your gear, your weather, your vehicle and your body aren’t ours.

Privacy

How we handle information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

If these terms change, we’ll update this page and refresh the date at the top.
